Quartz is engineered, so the pattern is consistent from slab to slab and it never needs sealing. Granite is quarried, so no two pieces match and the movement in the stone is its own argument for choosing it. Both handle a Florida kitchen. Which one you want usually gets decided in about ten minutes once you're standing in front of them.
A two-inch sample tells you the color and nothing else. Stone moves — veins run, patterns shift, and where the seam lands changes how the whole kitchen reads. In the showroom on Orange Blossom Trail you see full pieces at full size under real light. We'll also bring samples to your house if you'd rather compare them against your own cabinets.

No. Quartz is engineered and non-porous. Granite is a natural stone and does want sealing from time to time — we'll tell you what yours needs before you choose.
Yes, as long as the cabinets are sound enough to carry the stone. We check that when we come out to measure.
No, but for stone it's worth it. You can see full pieces at Orange Blossom Trail, or we'll bring samples to your house. Most people do both.
